Fethiye Oludeniz Paragliding Company Recommendation | Prices | 2024
One of the most used visuals in the promotion of our country is Ölüdeniz Kumburnu Beach in the Fethiye district of Muğla and the paragliding visuals here. The share of Ölüdeniz Paragliding experience is quite big in the fact that Fethiye is so well known abroad. In addition to this beautiful activity, it is a completely different feeling to jump from Babadağ towards Ölüdeniz and watch the visual feast of nature from the air. In other words, there is a fact that paragliding exists for Ölüdeniz. The two are now inseparable.
Paragliding, which is on many people’s list of things to do before they die, was an impossible possibility for me. But as they say, eat big bite, don’t talk big 😀 I will tell you how I changed over time, how I turned into a new Buju and how I experienced something that was impossible for me.
Important Note: Try to read all the details in this article. Because the most important issue about parachute is confidence. Do not prefer poor quality, cheap companies. Some companies make the jump cheaply and sell the photos expensively. Therefore, a reliable company is a must.
All About Fethiye Oludeniz Paragliding
Fethiye Oludeniz Paragliding Experience 2024
I’ve had a pretty severe fear of falling since I was a child. A different variant of the fear of heights. I could climb to the top of a skyscraper and look out of the window, but I couldn’t cross a narrow, high bridge. I could climb up a mountain like a goat, but I had to sit down and crawl down 😃 This was the case until recently. Until I jumped from Babadağ and broke my chains.
As I love travelling and different experiences, this fear was making my life difficult. Imagine, we are going to a canyon, I am walking through it, I miss the most beautiful view point just because I can’t cross the bridge. I did not overcome my fear in an instant. It developed slowly, little by little, by not surrendering to it, by overcoming it.
The biggest step was microlight flight, which I learnt by chance in Dalyan and decided at once. I never thought I could do it, but I did it. Üstün started to say that there is Fethiye Ölüdeniz paragliding in the queue, of course jokingly. I wondered if I could do it, and the next thing I knew, I was already flying. After I flew, Üstün congratulated me with tears in his eyes. My family knew me well enough to think it was photoshop.😀
When we went from Dalyan to Fethiye, Üstün organised the flight with our business partner tourism company without asking me. It was quite an imposition. 😃Tomorrow morning at 10.30 he said, “Get ready, you’re flying”. On the one hand I was scared to death but on the other hand I wanted to break my chains.
In the morning we went to the company’s headquarters in Ölüdeniz and after waiting for a while, we said goodbye to Üstün downstairs and headed towards Babadağ by minibus. I was very anxious all the way, and as we went up, my fear peaked. Because we were in a very high position. What do you mean, am I going to be in the sky at this height soon? I was not excited or anything, the only thing I felt was fear.
We got out of the minibus and I saw dozens of people who were here for paragliding. While the pilot was making his preparations, I watched them fly for a while. There is no such thing as jumping from the edge of the cliff into the void. There is a ramp, you take a few steps on the ramp and start to rise. But still, this situation did not help me overcome my fear. I even thought I couldn’t do it and started crying 😂 My pilot immediately tried to reassure and calm me down. He actually brought it to a fait accompli. Because I guess I couldn’t do it if it was up to me.
Your pilot already gives you the necessary commands before the jump, but let me mention it anyway. After the pilot prepares you and himself, one of the staff there helps you. The pilot gives the command to walk first and then run. When you are standing, you need to rise from the ground, so do not sit down immediately. I reflexively took a sitting position, they immediately warned me, I straightened up. Then, while in the sky, the pilot said sit down and I took a sitting position. After that, the first 5 minutes were screams of pain.😃 I was so scared that I didn’t get jaundice or anything, thank God.😅
It was only a matter of minutes between being so scared and enjoying the hand on the neck. I went from shouting this is horrible to shouting this is amazing. It really was. When fear gives way to pleasure, you realise what a unique experience this is. And how I have never done it before. At 2000 metres in the sky, the only thing you feel is freedom. While the wind caresses your skin and Ölüdeniz Blue Lagoon is under your feet, all the troubles and problems remain as a point in the real world. You are living something too beautiful to be real in a utopian place.
When we descended for landing, we flew over houses, trees and landed like a bird. You are in shock as if you stepped into the real world. It’s a marvellous feeling. 😍

Fethiye Oludeniz Paragliding Prices 2024
Let’s come to one of the most important issues, namely Ölüdeniz paragliding price. The price of this unique experience varies from company to company with tiny differences. But when choosing the company, it is very important that it is corporate and its pilots are professional. For 2024, the price of Ölüdeniz paragliding is 200 Dollars. This price includes photo and video. If you do not request photos or videos, the price is around 160$ – 180$. You pay an extra 30$-35$ for the photos. There is no other cost other than these. The ascent to Babadağ is covered by the company.
If you ask if this experience is worth this price, be sure it is worth one hundred per cent. I’m sure you will even say why I didn’t do this before after jumping. I say very clearly; 1 time in your life When you come to Fethiye, live this experience.
If you say Is Fethiye paragliding expensive, prices can be called normal due to the current economic conditions. The cost of the companies in the flight is generally the fee paid to the pilots and the Babadağ entrance price. I think the prices are normal when you get into it.
Everything You Need to Know About Fethiye Paragliding
Is Paragliding Safe?
Paragliding, one of the most widely practised air sports in the world, is very safe. I think the key point is wind. Pay attention to weather conditions and never fly above 20 knots of wind. In addition, the equipment must be new and must have passed international tests such as LTF and DHV.
It is also very important to fly with a professional and experienced pilot. When all these criteria are met, safe and enjoyable flights can be performed.
Fethiye Oludeniz Paragliding Age Limit
Ölüdeniz paragliding age limit 5 years old for children. Children under 5 years old are not allowed to fly. Those under 18 age are allowed to fly with family permission. Other than that, there is no upper age limit.
Fethiye Oludeniz Paragliding Flight Duration
Oludeniz Paragliding Flight Duration is approximately half an hour. It takes half an hour by minibus from Ölüdeniz to Babadağ. You need to spare 1.30 hours for transportation+preparation+flight.
How is the photo and video event while flying?
In paragliding, the pilot takes photos and videos with gopro and transfers them to your phone immediately after the flight. If you wish, you can also shoot with your phone. However, it will be safer to hang it around your neck with a strap. I guess you don’t want to leave your phone in the cool waters of Ölüdeniz 😀
The pilot’s photo shoot is subject to a fee outside the flight price. You need to discuss this situation before the flight and agree accordingly. Such a moment is not without photos and videos.
How to get to Babadağ from Oludeniz?
You can go to Babadağ from Ölüdeniz in 2 different ways. The first option is by minibus. Skystar company takes pilots and passengers safely to Babadağ with their own minibuses. Another option is to go up the mountain with the newly built cable car. However, there are some details you need to know here.
You can take the cable car up to a certain point with closed cabins. Afterwards, it is necessary to ride the chair lifts to go to the summit where paragliding is done. Since this is not preferred by some passengers, our tour agency does not use this way of transport.
What should you do when jumping?
You have decided to fly with paragliding but you have dozens of questions in your mind. How will it be, what should I do, but calm down.😊 Trust your pilot and concentrate only on his commands. You are already in the sky.
Jumping is not the right word for paragliding, but it has settled in our language like this. Because when it is said to jump, it is understood as leaving ourselves into the void from a high place, but there is no action like jumping in paragliding. You take off and rise from the ground by taking a few steps under the guidance of the pilot on a sloping ground. You are only told not to sit down so that you do not pull your feet immediately and rub against the ground.
What should you do when landing?
Fethiye paragliding flight is also a very calm and soft landing. You descend by gliding like a bird and set foot on the ground. There are already employees waiting to meet you on the ground and they support you by holding you. Since I had a fracture in my right leg, I had the reflex of sitting on the ground, but when they told me to stand up, I immediately took an upright position. We landed like a bird.
When we came to the parachute landing place, we landed in the area in front of the company. The area is quite large. It is close to the buildings, but this is not a problem when the pilots are professional.
What should I wear in a parachute flight?
It is useful to wear comfortable clothes that will not bore you on the flight. Do not choose tight trousers that squeeze you because you will be sitting.
Since Babadağ is quite high, it is quite windy and cold even in summer. I think I shivered a bit out of fear. 😅 You can wear a mont or cardigan depending on the season.
Is there a weight limit on flights?
Weight limit is an important factor in paragliding flights. This situation varies from company to company with tiny differences. Obviously, it depends on the pilot’s initiative. However, it should be taken into consideration that there is a weight capacity that the parachute can carry. Exceeding this limit can have very dangerous consequences. The weight limit for parachute jumping varies between maximum 100-110 kg for an average of 1 person.
Things to take with you on the flight
My humble advice on the flight is to take nothing with you. Focus only on the flight and enjoy the experience. I didn’t even use my phone because the pilot was filming anyway. But if you want to shoot yourself, be sure to use an apparatus that you can hang the phone around your neck.
What times of the day are there flights?
Fethiye paragliding is flown 5 times a day. The flight hours of Skystar company, where we jump, are 08.30 – 11.00 – 13.00 – 15.00 – 17.00. You can jump at any time you wish, provided that you make a reservation in advance.
When is the best time to fly?
Fethiye Oludeniz has flights for 12 months. Of course, the most important time periods are the summer months. In the winter period, service is provided from lower altitude. Of course, wind and rain are the main determining factors. With the second week of April higher altitude is jumped.
The best and busiest period of paragliding is July, August, September months. If you are going paragliding during this period, do not neglect to make a reservation.
