Kaleköy (Simena)

Kaleköy, which is the destination of Kekova boat tour route with more sightseeing than swimming, is one of my favourite places. Founded on the ancient city of Simena of the Lycian League, Kaleköy dates back to the 4th century BC. Salyangoz Bay was one of my favourite bays on this route. It has a unique beauty where you are alone with nature. There is no one, no civilisation, no structure touched by any human being. The only gate of Snail Bay extending to the Mediterranean is like a labyrinth. This adds a completely different charm to this bay.

I don’t know if you have ever seen such a clear sea. And I don’t know which painter’s palette you have come across this colour harmony. I’m talking about a bay that makes you feel as if you can touch the fish swimming 5 metres under the water. I’m sure you will love it!

Camlica Bay

Are you looking for a hidden paradise among the pine trees? The address is Çamlıca Bay. Enjoy swimming in a lush green bay. In fact, I think you should exaggerate this swimming and stay in the water until your fingers are wrinkled 🙂

Gokkaya Bay

Gökkaya Bay is one of the many beautiful bays near Simena Castle. It is as beautiful as the others on the Kekova boat tour route. Close to the coastal village of Üçağız and a short distance from the offshore Lycian ruins of the Sunken City of Kekova, Gökkaya is the largest of the bays in this magnificent region. Kekova region is full of ancient settlement ruins. Tersane Bay is a bay where you can see these ancient ruins up close. Here you can see the underwater remains of an old Byzantine Church, which marks the beginning of the Sunken City of Kekova. In fact, Tersane Bay was the old shipbuilding area of this Sunken City during the Lycian period. You can reach the shore and walk among the historical ruins. At night, you can stay here with the lights of Kaleköy.
